You can make your own web site much more easily than you think. Easy-to-use editors allow you to create web site text and graphics without knowing a lot of technical jargon, and there are online services that will help you to make your own web site with no knowledge of HTML (web site computer code) whatsoever!
An HTML editor is a program that produces web pages. Most browsers have some HTML editing features built in, but if you really want some power, you'll need stand alone editing capability. Some diehards still do all of their HTML coding in a simple text editor, but how they remember all of the commands, hex codes, and symbols remains a mystery ...
Site Build It! is an "all-in-one" package
that gives you the ability to create web sites online, from your browser, without knowing
HTML. They also provide online search engine submission and positioning, plus TONS more, including free coaching
on how to make your site attract traffic. These people pride themselves on helping you build
a site that is a traffic-magnet, and they have just introduced a new module that allows full
compatibility with traditional HTML editors. We couldn't possibly list all of the features here.

Instant Site Maker is a handy and inexpensive little program that creates "mini sites" in a flash, but anybody with the slightest bit of HTML skill could easily use it to create a web site with multiple pages. If you don't want to learn HTML, or just want to get a mini-site or a few pages up there quickly, this may be just the thing for you.
Coffee Cup Software offers a very popular traditional editor that has tons of features, and as of this writing, they are still offering free lifetime upgrades and free tech support. What more could you ask? OK, go ahead and ask ... they let you download a free trial version. You can buy the basic editor to begin with, and add the bells and whistles later, or go for the "Big Cup" all at once.
HotDog is another very popular editor that has a large following. It has a very easy to use WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) interface, as well as the standard editor mode. As with CoffeeCup, there is a free trial version available for download, and you'll learn to make your own web site pages in no time.
Microsoft Front Page also has a huge following. Haven't tried it myself, but apparently lots of people use it. Great for folks who are very accustomed to the programs in Microsoft Office, and the pre-release hype on the 2003 version says that Front Page is now geared more toward the serious web authoring crowd, but still friendly to relative beginners.
Don't forget to check out some of the "must have" site utilities we've discovered for you, and of course once you've got that site up and running, you'll want to look into how to optimize your search engine ranking, and learn how to generate traffic to your site
